Hello and welcome to Dailyish
for Wednesday, August 26th, 2026.
I'm attempting to record an episode
of a podcast every day for this, my
50th year, or 51st for Jeremy, uh,
this, being on this planet This is a
very, gonna be a very quick one because
I just realized at six o'clock that
I hadn't recorded an episode today.
I thought I had one still in the queue.
And so I am endeavoring to
record something quickly before
supper and before family stuff.
We have had extended family here
for the week, and they're still
here for a little longer and stuff.
And so I had a bunch of episodes
pre-recorded and now, uh, yeah,
need to g- slip time in, in addition
to getting caught up on some work,
uh, to record episodes every day.
And, uh, the fun of navigating both,
like mentally trying to get back into
work mode myself personally, as well
as having, you know, kids, family, et
cetera, who are like, "Oh, Chris is
back," or, "Chris is not back," or,
"Chris is supposed to not be here, but
he actually is here," and Interruptions
every so often throughout the course of
the afternoon, attempting to get some
work done, which is hard as a people
pleaser to say no to or get upset about.
And also the benefit of being able to
be here for kids and requests and things
that come up and dealing with the dog
and et cetera, which is normally fine,
but trying to like be efficient about
getting work done while working at home.
If there's ever a downside to working
at home, which normally I love, it's
those moments where I have to like try
and be super efficient while everyone
else is still in relaxed vacation mode.
Or if we're on vacation literally
and I'm trying to quickly get things
done, my brain does not work, work
very well in those circumstances.
So The work itself
generally doesn't suffer.
It just takes a lot longer to get pulled
in and out of each project as you're
trying to finish things off or whatever.
And and people ask for and rightfully
hope for your attention in things, so
All right.
Well, I hear the barbecue or
maybe smell the barbecue calling,
And so that'll be this episode.
If you have comments, questions, and
ideas for future episodes, feel free
to email me, [email protected].
By the way, if you're looking, I guess
it doesn't help people who are already
subscribed, but if you're looking for
this on Audible or Amazon Podcasts,
it should be there as well now.
I forgot to click a button
to enable that, um, service.
So it should be available or
findable on Audible as well.
Thanks for listening.
Hope you have a good day.
Bye.
