Hello. Welcome to Daily for Tuesday, November 28. It's, minus seven. Feels like minus 12 outside in the Celsius. I, mistakenly told my kids it would be warmer today than it is.
Speaker 1:So hopefully, they're surviving outdoor recesses and all that stuff at the schools. So episode of Daily is brought to by Patreon supporters, possibly exactly like you. Patreon.com/ichris is where you can check out how you can support the podcasting I do here indirectly directly and goes towards good stuff, which like I mentioned in the previous episode is gonna be, launching a Patreon campaign shortly ish. It's, what was I gonna say? I forgot what I was gonna say.
Speaker 1:I'm standing up today, so it feels a little more, active. I I'm following through so far on the, your coupons. Hopefully, you'll cash those in yesterday on Cyber Monday to get Daily ish episode every day of this week. If you didn't cash in that coupon, well, I guess you're probably not hearing this. So I'm sorry.
Speaker 1:You might wanna go back and listen to episode number two twenty three. Goodstuff.fm/ Daily IshSlash223 to get your coupon code, punch that into the Internet, and, then you'll get to hear this episode. On the, Good Stuff Morning Show, Kyle, Kyle Roderick, one of the hosts, along with his brother Kenny Roderick, his brother. I think I said that already. Mentioned, called called me out or I guess not really called out.
Speaker 1:He promoted. He was helping me, saying Chris is, Chris is actually, I'll get the audio. I'll put it in right there.
Speaker 2:You can also listen to Chris' daily audio blog, He's trying to record every day this week. Good luck, Chris. Good luck. That's about a confidence. Best best best of luck to you.
Speaker 2:But if you could go listen to his show and, and give him a a bit of a bump, let him know that that you care whether or not he's recording, would be helpful.
Speaker 1:So, yeah, I'm I'm attempting to record an episode every day this week, which made it sound like something that I know he didn't intend it this way. I happen to be listening on live and and helping with a little bit of, comment moderation on our old Twitch channel, twitch.tv/goodstuff_fm. If you wanna help us reach our 50 follower goal by the end of the year, that would be awesome. Hit the, follow button if you have a Twitch account or sign up for one. But, I know he didn't mean it in a pandering way.
Speaker 1:It it sounded like something I'd say to my son, like, if you if you clean up the dishwasher every day this week, then Friday, you'll get to play video games for an extra half hour. So just because I know how pathetic it is to to not be able to record a a Daily ish episode, which is just me rambling about whatever happens to be off the top of my head every day this week. But also made me wanna kind of wanted to do a livestream version of a Twitch, like, use our Twitch channel for Daily(ish). But I think what people maybe you don't realize listeners and the viewers would find out very quickly is how much of this is edited and how much I stop and and don't talk or edit out stuff that I've said and, and then publish it with a much cleaner sounding, version. Like, in the last episode, I realized after the fact that I I left in a couple of my I I have a I hate mouth noises, and and I I make them.
Speaker 1:And so I usually go back and try and edit them out. It stems from, I think, long car rides with my family where my sister and I would I would get really mad at her for just breathing because she, you know, breathed too loud. You know, that that's fair, probably. And she'd get mad mad at me for, like, smacking my lips when I'm eating something or whatever. And so I think it's kind of like there's probably a joint therapy session we need to go to, maybe like a joint therapy session in a car with a a therapist driving us for eight hours across the country, while we work through sitting in a vehicle in the back seat of a an old station wagon and making sure neither of us crosses the line in the middle of the seat, and breathes properly so that the other person is able to enjoy the car ride.
Speaker 1:I forget where I was going with that, but I think, the end result is I probably won't be doing live streams of this. But if you if you ever were wanting to know that I did, you could follow our Twitch channel, twitch.tv/goodstuff_ f m. Link will be in the show notes. There's a whole bunch of links. I'm just keeping all those links in there from each week, each episode, for fun, the coming soon for all the the courses and the video recent videos I've done, and then where you can follow me or us socially on the Internet.
Speaker 1:Just keep those in there because why not? You never know when someone's woken up and this is their first time they're ever listening to Daily(ish) or anything on good stuff. So thanks for listening if you're new. Sorry for losing you as a listener if this is your last episode, I guess. I'll leave you with, something that I came across the Twitter streams today that I retweeted, and, and I just I'm not sure what to do with.
Speaker 1:And I I hope it's a joke. I I hope it's just as funny, like, a goof. But the link is in the show notes to a picture and maybe I'll if I do the chapter marker thing, it'll be on your screen of your device right now as I'm talking. But, it's a picture of let me just pull it up. So somebody tweets out that they saw this in a Texaco bathroom, which is is that UK or Canadian?
Speaker 1:I don't know. Or I mean US. I think it's US Texaco. Sounds like something in Texas for some reason. But if you're just listening and you can't see, it's a picture of a bathroom and you see the usual, like the toilets and then also the toilet bowl cleaner that the employee at this station would have used.
Speaker 1:There's a a plunger, a normal toilet bowl plunger just in case someone, plugs the toilet. But then there's also a, what looks like a modified pogo stick with handles at the top and then the place to put your feet, the spring, obviously, and then the pogo stick part going down. But instead of just a normal pogo stick at the bottom where, you know, it would be a a little landing thing to or or pad to jump off of, they've got a plunger, attachment at the bottom, this half bowl thing, rubber bowl at the bottom. And, yeah, it just brings up a lot of questions about things that I I previously assumed I I just had never thought about. And, and I'm just bringing this to your attention so that maybe you can be as disturbed as I am.
Speaker 1:Because, like, I guess, a, how how bad does it have to be to be how about how bad does the toilet have to be plugged that you would need that? Assuming let's just assume this is real and not just a joke that somebody left there as a and tweeted out as a joke. How do you get into position to even use it? Like, you're I guess you're sort of balancing yourself on the wall and, yeah, and then I I would guess that it might even require two people to operate to sort of help you get into position. And then my question is then where does the second person go when the jumping starts, and what how do they protect themselves from splash damage?
Speaker 1:So I I guess I just I leave you that with that Tuesday's deep thought of the day is, Toilet pull plunger questionnaire. And, you can tweet at me. I'm I Chris on Twitter or, check us out patreon.com/ichris if you wanna support the podcast and and deep thoughts like this further. I hope you have a great day. Thanks for listening.
Speaker 1:Bye.
