Hello. Welcome to Daily's Friday, March 17. It's currently I think around two or three degrees beautiful, relative relatively beautiful outside. That's in the Celsius. It's probably 10 or 15 f's, I don't know.
Speaker 1:I didn't bother to look up this time. This episode of Daily is brought to you by Patreon supporters like you. Patreon.com/ichris. We have gone, we're paying our bills. We're not sponsored anymore by Feed Press and, paying paying the man as it were, a nice man, Alex and and company, or at Feed Press and going, all in as it were and, so all in on Patreon as well and we hope to have, news about Patreon for Goodstuff as a whole site thing soonish, but, for now patreon.com/ichris is where you can support me directly and support this podcast network directly.
Speaker 1:And, I haven't done anything specific for Patreon lately. I need to do that actually and this episode is a quick one just because I realized I haven't done an episode of Daily(ish) this week at all and and all the excitement of launching what was, the new version three I guess we're up to of goodstuff, .fm the site the back end for I kind of forgot about Daily(ish) so this is to rectify that. The if you visit goodstuff.fm as a site, it probably doesn't look all that much different. There's a few little things you'd notice if you were really paying attention, but if you just go there to play, m p threes podcasts, if if you're one of those folks who list who listens on the website, then not much has changed. It kinda looks the same.
Speaker 1:There's new logo, new, there's new copy around the website. That's a fancy way of saying new text and, we've got some, new shows, a new show that wasn't there before and, what else? A few subtle color changes, just, just some, you know, some nice subtle touches. Big thanks to, one mister Kyle Roderick that, did a ton of the work back the back end work dealing with we we were using a service called Siteleaf to sort of it's kind of like the if you've ever used WordPress, it's kind of like the front end to manage the website and then it's hosted on actually GitHub pages. So if you're a nerd and inclined to find out about stuff like that, free to ask me questions or Kyle, myself.
Speaker 1:We'll we'll do a podcast of some sorts. We've got ideas for a thing that will be coming soon along those lines and I would be happy to answer any questions any nerds have about how we are hosting this thing and doing all that kind of stuff with GitHub pages, with Siteleaf, with its Jekyll based CMS, static file thingies and, files m p threes hosted on FeedPress. So you can still visit feed.press/dailyish to give us a little affiliate bump if you want. Give us a free month, think it is, and you get a free month when you sign up if you want a podcast but, or blog RSS feed stuff, but they're not officially sponsoring anymore. But we're very grateful for the past over a year I think it's been of them sponsoring Goodstuff and helping us sort of through this time period to get us to, sustainability of sorts or breaking even ability, I think is more accurate.
Speaker 1:So there'll be links in the show notes to the Goodstuff version three announcement on our blog blog.goodstuff.fm if you wanna check that out. The new show that we announced, is a show called Clockworks, which is actually featuring my brother and sister-in-law. So not the Chris, the one who was on Lost and Lemon and, does Lost Wax Oz and, you know, cool video stuff. This is, brother-in-law Paul and Jan who are out in I don't know if they say where they are in the world, I won't I won't I think they do but I won't spoil that for them in case. Anyways, they're somewhere in the world and, but they're big fans of the TV show Legion and which is on FX Network in The States and I and FX Canada I think here or various other ways I think.
Speaker 1:And, you it's a show. It's a superhero kind of show but without a lot of the big superhero stuff. Anyways, don't need to listen to me talk about it because it's Clockworks. Goodstuff.com/clockworks is where you can actually go listen to it, and there'll be links in the show notes to that announcements, blog posts, well as their the web page for it and their iTunes link if you're so inclined all the RSS number subscription details and stuff are on. Goodstuff.com/clockworks.
Speaker 1:So, right now, don't tell Christopher Schmidt if he happens to listen. If he's not listening, don't tell him that I'm supposed to be editing non breaking space for another new episode of that show, which is also on Goodstuff. I will get to that as soon as I publish this one. Christopher, if you happen to listen to this episode. I just wanted to say thank you for your support out there and whether it's through Patreon directly or tweeting about us, fading, liking, leaving a review in iTunes for any of the shows we do, all that kind of stuff helps and we really appreciate it and, look forward to more new stuff coming from Goodstuff in this year.
Speaker 1:So in the meantime, thanks for listening. Have a great day. Have a great weekend. We're currently dealing with a sick kid as usual. That's why I use your podcast is complaining about sickness, but I didn't give you any of the gory details.
Speaker 1:You can check me out on Twitter, twitter.com/ichris. A nice tweet today summarizing what, what's been going down and up or down mostly and, we'll talk to you later. Have a good weekend. Bye.
