Hello. Welcome to a podcast with Chris Enns, your daily ish audio show from my mouth to your ears, which sounds really disgusting, but it's kinda true. This is his show that I've been sort of thinking about doing for a while, and it's more of a not so much for you guys, whoever happens to listen, but more to just push myself in this medium of podcasting that I enjoy doing to try come up with a conversation and a topic and talk off more or less off the top of my head, I have some discussion topics and some ideas and things that I've been sort of thinking about, but kinda just a bit of verbal diarrhea as it were to continue the disgusting metaphor I started with. So it aims to be about like ten minutes or less. Not definitely not any longer than that.
Speaker 1:Most likely we will be solo, just me by myself. But who knows? We'll see where it goes. Or if it even goes anywhere. That's the thing.
Speaker 1:I have a bad history of, starting these kinds of things, spending hours setting up a website, registering a domain, those kinds of things only to let it die on the vine, fizzle out. Alright. Happy 200. That clip was from episode one in case you weren't there back in the beginning of the Daily ish. I've, been paralyzed by indecision of what to do for episode 200.
Speaker 1:I finally realized I had to just do what I've always done, come up with a half baked idea, scribble down some notes, and then hit record and verbal diarrhea as it were from my brain to your ears, which is maybe what I should change the title tagline of the show too, but I don't think I will. That probably wouldn't help with, Google SEO. So, in addition to just the paralysis analysis thing, hash brown, Kyle and I have been doing a lot of behind the scenes work on good and well, Kyle doing a lot of the work and me asking dumb questions mainly on the new Good Stuff site, building a new back end stuff for it. So that's been where a lot of my any sort of extra energy has been focused and plus a quick trip out to visit some family over the school break and that's the litany of my excuses anyways for where I've been and why I haven't been in your eardrums lately. I've really been enjoying having random folks on to talk about interesting stuff that's like of interest to me, but also is a sort of main interest to them at the time that I talked to them.
Speaker 1:And so I've been debating whether to continue that here or or announce that, episode 200 was it for Daily. I should just start a whole new show where I just talked to interesting folks about something, one offs, you know, but man, that gets such a mess of scheduling and yeah. It's it's why Show Me Your Mic is, on hiatus because it's just it's a lot of work scheduling and booking guests for for shows. As And part of the problem why doing this thing is so solo like by myself is with another human to bounce ideas off of generates that generates discussion, generates ideas, helps me figure out what I'm actually trying to do when I have to justify it to another human. But when it's kinda just all stuck in my own head, it doesn't always go so well.
Speaker 1:There's a lot of the negative voices that you can kinda get drowned out sometimes. So, but I'm really excited about what we're we're trying to build with the new good stuff. And unfortunately so much of it seem is probably gonna be behind the scenes code stuff, reorganization of how we host things and all that kind of stuff and not as much front facing content initially. But we've got some interesting plans and ideas and dreams for what we'd like to do and this will hopefully set us up to be able to focus on doing what we originally started this thing to do way back when is just record podcasts talking about the things we find interesting and or funny in the world, and hopefully entertaining a few of you along the way. Interesting enough that episode one clip was from almost exactly three years ago, February 2014, to the day of, this recording, which is I didn't even say at the beginning, so I skipped over it.
Speaker 1:It's Wednesday, March 1. It's minus sixteen. It feels like minus 24 Celsius with the old wind chill, but say it with me, this is not a weather podcast. Alright. Now to start planning for episode 300.
Speaker 1:You can follow me on Twitter. I'm iChris. Follow good stuff, good stuff FM. Thanks for listening. Hope to see you around for the next few 100 episodes of Daily ish.
Speaker 1:Bye.
