Hello. Welcome to Daily(ish) for Wednesday, 12/09/2015. It's minus four. It feels like minus seven. This is not a weather podcast, but it is brought to you by FeedPress.
Speaker 1:Visit feed.press/ Daily's today to sign up and try FeedPress for fourteen days. No contracts or commitments. You can use promo code Daily's during your checkout get 10% off your first year of their awesome podcast hosting and analytics service. If you got a blog or podcasts or a blog that has a podcast, you can definitely make use of FeedPress. Gives you awesome stats and stuff on where folks are coming from in the world to read or listen to your site or podcasts.
Speaker 1:I need a better way to say that anyways. 250 megabytes of file file storage that rolls over each month. You can upload at least four episodes per month, if not more. So thanks to Feed Press for supporting this show and also my Patreon supporters, patreon.com/ichris, so you can check out how you can support my podcasting efforts a little more directly with a dollar or 2 a month. And, lost some support this last month, down to $81, 22 patrons patrons, but, it's all good.
Speaker 1:This episode, I'm just gonna talk a little bit about the fact that with, upcoming travel plans and, just the craziness of, like, basically, we're our family leaves in a couple weeks, and, we are busy pretty much every day, all night, every evening doing something. And in addition, trying to get ready to go is I just wanted to make sure I got this recorded so that folks would know what's happening in case I all of a sudden am on the plane and realize I'd shoot, I didn't actually publish that episode. The, like I mentioned earlier, the this show is gonna go Patreon supporter only. Sort of like, it's the only way or easiest way to do a private podcast kind of thing. And so not that I have any plans to reveal any deep dark secrets or anything, but just, I don't know, feels somehow a little less, little easier just to like share stuff that is going on on a day by day basis, when we're out and about and stuff and knowing that folks I trust mainly because they give you money.
Speaker 1:So that's how you earn my trust, I guess. You just have to pay me a dollar a month and then I'll trust you with it with everything. And, yeah, we'll just kinda go from there. But, then when we're back at the end of January, I think I'll likely put the shows that were private back into the feed so anyone who really wants to can catch up and hear about how things went. It's it's just kind of a way to sort of delay the the stuff reporting on talking about things that happened that day or whatever and knowing that you know who actually is listening, exactly.
Speaker 1:It's kind of just a little reassuring for me, I guess. So Patreon supporters, you'll get a message in the next day or so here as I record this anyways with details on how to subscribe to the private feed. It'll be a new RSS feed that you'll have to subscribe to in your podcast player catcher of choice. And, and, yeah, we'll see how it goes. It's it it'll have the the last the the way it'll work is it'll be the last three most recent episodes, I guess, of the show will be available to you.
Speaker 1:So if you don't listen to them in time or whatever, it drops off the feed just because of the nature of how it's set up and stuff. So hopefully, won't be too onerous or whatever. I don't think I'll be recording one every single day, but, you never know. Getting get into a good groove and things kinda, can flow pretty easily that way too. So, so, yeah, watch your inbox.
Speaker 1:If you don't hear from me in some way, if you're a Patreon supporter at Patreon, patreon,.com/ichris. If you don't hear from me with a message from there, please get in touch either on Twitter, I Chris on Twitter, or email me [email protected]. And I just wanna make I'll make sure that you get details on how to subscribe. And with the new Patreon app, there's a Patreon app for iPhone and Android. Actually, it makes it pretty easy to also, just check on updates and stuff on there as well.
Speaker 1:So I could post something every time there's a new episode on the Patreon site and you get notified, but I think I'd rather it be like a thing where you just know you can go to your podcast player and hear it. Think it's probably the way I would do it. But, I welcome your feedback as always, even though I know you won't give it because because it's awkward and hard and weird to give feedback to a podcast. As we all know okay. Well, I hope your, December is going well and whatever plans and things you are getting up to is, moving along and, you're if you're in the buying mode of needing to find a presence or whatever and gifts and stuff for people that you find the ones you need, don't spend too much.
Speaker 1:Set a budget and try to stick to it. That's what helps for us. Otherwise, it's just kind of becomes a random just buying things. Not we don't it's not especially about being fair. It's just more about planning ahead of time and realizing that you spend a lot of money once you start saying yes to all the little things.
Speaker 1:There's like, you know, student teacher gifts and $5 here and $10 there, all of sudden you've spent like 6 or $700 that you normally don't spend in a month, every other month of the year. And so, yeah, just to be aware of that. There's my budget tip of the day. Alright. Before I ramble more, I'm going to say goodbye.
Speaker 1:Thanks for listening. Have a great day. Bye.
