Speaker 1:How you can support my podcasting efforts a little more directly with a dollar or 2 or 10 and thousands a month if you so desire. It's, yeah, it's fun fun way. I I keep saying this. I need to put a little more into what's going on on there, but it's very much appreciated what's the folks who are supporting me there and chipping in a buck or 2 or 10 or 5. So still trying to make sense of, and it's not for me to make sense of exactly of what happened last week in Paris and Beirut and, with the terrorist attacks and and things.
Speaker 1:And we were traveling, when it happened or or visiting family and stuff when it happened and kind of like a little bit unplugged from the Internet, which is kinda, you know, good in a way. You you get less you just have more more stuff happening in front of you to to not just sit and dwell and, and worry and fret and get angry and and things like that, which are all kind of, you know, healthy reactions in some ways. But often I know when I'm sitting at the desk, at my desk working for the day and don't have kids and family and stuff going on, you can kind of expend a lot more energy, and stress on things like that that are in the short term anyways fairly inconsequential for for my day to day living. It's it definitely affects me in in a as a member of the world and global citizen and stuff like that. But, yeah.
Speaker 1:It's something that we'll be talking about it on the YouTube podcast because YouTube was actually supposed to be playing a concert the next night in Paris and recording it and and sending it out, you know, effectively air quotes live to to the world over HBO. And, and obviously that show was canceled and and things are, you know, in the works as far as replacement shows and all that kind of stuff. But, yeah, it's just, interesting, scary kind of times. So there's a really good article, I'll link to in the show notes that was posted over on, The Atlantic that kinda just goes into it's a really long article, but really well done. My wife was reading for probably about an hour while we drove home yesterday, but what I'm talking about what ISIS really wants and, how the Islamic State is no mere collection of psychopath.
Speaker 1:It's a religious group with carefully considered beliefs among them that is key agent of the coming apocalypse. So not like a, you know, religious focused article, but just talking a bit about what's going on in the organization and just so you can understand when people are talking about it, in the news because you often get little snippets or a very biased presentation of what it's what's going on. This is kinda like a bit more of a factual research into what's what's happening. So as I mentioned, we were traveling. Our kids actually travel pretty well, but, you know, still spending nine plus hours driving in a minivan with three three kids on a on a Wednesday and then back again on a Sunday is, its own special unique kind of tiring experience.
Speaker 1:But, they did really well. Episodes of, the original Transformers TV show as well as watching, Fantastic Mister Fox and then just other fun stuff. And the car was made to go by fairly quick. It's still a lot of driving though. And especially in, the Canadian Prairies, it's you know, you're driving basically 600 kilometers, which is around 300 some miles, say, for part of the trip and and there's no nothing you have to be aware of as far as turning or, making a, you know, change in in directions or a route tracking.
Speaker 1:It's just like straight down the highway for that long and very flat, very, but I love I still love the open skies and, views you get here on the prairies. I'm I like the mountains and and scenery as well, but there is something special and and interesting about just seeing the sun rising, sun setting, especially those times of day. But, it's a it's kinda like the everything's all the leaves have fallen, so it should normally have snow on the ground right now. But, was still, you know, it's a beautiful country we live in. So as a result of the travel prep, was also, you know, busy getting work done last week, so that's why there's been less podcasting.
Speaker 1:And so I've I kinda disappointed myself for not doing more podcasts, but also kinda proud of myself for not getting easily distracted and podcasting, which is something that comes very easily and naturally to me these days, but is also, can be a thing I use to distract myself from actually getting some work done. So, and the more editing of podcasts I've been doing, the less I kind of feel like I have to say for some reason. I think it's kinda like my quota for words on the Internet where they're coming in or going out is reached, I feel like maybe I should stop or I don't know. Maybe I'm just tired of having headphones in my head so I don't record. But, anyways, back.
Speaker 1:I think there's another about a month or so of, what's going on of just normal quote unquote life here before the Christmas season, holiday season hits. So, should fit in a few more episodes, I would imagine. And, I'm always leery of talking about travel online. I don't know. Just you never know what somebody might be paying attention to and who figures out, you know, roughly where you might live and all that kind stuff.
Speaker 1:And so it just kind of made for I wasn't sure how to talk because a lot of it was just had to do with travel and and prep for that travel. So, anyways, enough podcasting, meta podcasting talk. I'll save it for a podcast about podcasts, except, one more thing. You can check out podcastproduction.pro for my podcast editing portfolio page website. I don't announce anything on Twitter or started promoting it at all.
Speaker 1:So it's just, you know, if you wanna go check it out, great to me. If you have someone you'd like to recommend me for a podcast or show that's looking for a producer or editor, feel free to pass my name along. But, yeah, it's just in a need to get it out there sense so that I can start refining it and updating it and changing it, but, just to have to have a place to direct folks who are interested in finding out more about why and what I do, and also I need to definitely update that logo. It's not like a new business that's why it's yeah. Just need to get out there because Lemon Projection is still my main business name and brand, but this is just kinda used to help promote the podcasting and podcasting editing and production side of my business.
Speaker 1:Is kinda complicated to sort of, fit that all into one page brand, over at lemonproductions.ca. So anyways, if you have folks who you hear about who are looking for podcast editor or producer, feel free to send them my way, and, that'd be awesome. But, in the meantime, hope you have a great Monday wherever you are in the world, and we will talk again next time. Thanks for listening. Have a great day.
Speaker 1:Bye.
