Speaker 1:I forget I don't have it in front of me right now, but there's it's more than just, it's good confirmation that it's more than just my mom who's listening because, she would just show up in Canada obviously. So thanks for listening. Actually, don't think my mom actually listens. So, and thanks to you folks over on Patreon. Speaker 1:So, happy Friday to you out there. This is a little delayed. I had a meeting this morning that I was hoping to get a podcast out before I went to, but such is what it is. Kids were up late, up early. That's the with the combination with three kids, it's kinda like there's a very good chance at least one, if not all three, will be up at different times in a night.
Speaker 1:And so, yeah, when that coincides, it actually was just one last night. Same one. Same crazy one. Yeah. Anyways, I won't rant in case she somebody listens to this, but she's turning three tomorrow.
Speaker 1:So, you know, gotta keep things nice for her birthday week. Anyways, up late, up early, and, fighting her naps and all those kind of fun things that kids do. And where was I going? This is why my brain oh, yeah. So I didn't get to we were we kind of slept in, air quote slept in and sort of a waking sleep kind of in fits and starts of five minute bursts of trying to fall asleep and then someone wakes you up and then going to sleep and then eventually getting up and being late for almost late for dropping kids off at school and stuff like that.
Speaker 1:So such is the day. But, I digress. I don't know where I was gonna go with that. The, something interesting that you might wanna check out that I'll put a link in the show notes to is a, newsletter thingy, GoodBits. It's called the newsletter thing that's, we're gonna be doing here at GoodStuff is just as a few weeks ago.
Speaker 1:I've had this idea for a while and then just stumbled across some technology, a newsletter service kind of thing that's free for under 200 people. Anyway, it doesn't matter. And to sort of make this a little easier to do than your typical sort of bigger services like Mailchimp and things like that, it's called goodbits.io. Check it out. But, basically, it's an email newsletter, goodgoodstuff.ongoodbits.com is what the URL is.
Speaker 1:But like I said, it'll be in the show notes. And basically, what it is is we're gonna be putting together a list, an email about once a week and of specific episodes of various podcasts, not just on Good Stuff but from wherever any of the folks involved with Good Stuff, find an episode and we'll drop it in there a little a brief description of why we liked it, description of the episode from the that particular show and, and then you can choose to go listen to it if you want to. And maybe you might find some new shows that you are not aware of and, find some other stuff to listen to. And eventually we'll figure out a way maybe, I don't know whether through the subreddit or some way of, taking sort of listener good stuff, listener sourced, suggestions as well. But, keeping it simple for now because you know how these things go.
Speaker 1:Well, I know how these things go. That you start them and then you lose interest after three weeks after building up all this hype about it and, and then you look like an idiot. So that's such as my lot in life with technology and ideas and things because I get easily distracted by interesting new technology and then try and justify a thing to use that technology for. So, I digress. So that'll be in the show notes.
Speaker 1:Good stuff that on get goodstuff. On goodbits.com. And, you can sign up there and you won't you can unsubscribe at any time, of course, like most email newsletters and all that kind of stuff. So, I think that's it for this episode. I gotta go edit another podcast.
Speaker 1:If you, wanna check out no. I won't tease it yet. I I have a a website that I'm working on, like I've mentioned before, for my sort of podcast production side business thing that's, you know, growing into hopefully almost half of my work these days. But I'm not quite ready to tease it out for your to get your your eyeballs on it and give me some feedback. Maybe next week, we'll see how much I get done, next week.
Speaker 1:And, what was the other thing I was gonna say? There was something else. I'm looking around. Business cards, Lego, pin holders, r two D two pin holder. Kids give you a lot of pin holders.
Speaker 1:That's a bit. That's about it. Thanks for listening. Thanks for being fan of good stuff, of the things we do, and things I do, and, playing along here as we figure this stuff out. It's very very, awesome to know that there's, like I said at the beginning, more than just a couple of folks who stumbled on this thing and and happen to listen.
Speaker 1:And I don't take whatever measure of audience I have for granted, and, thank you for your attention and time. Have a great weekend. Have your kids. Love your parents. High five your friends.
Speaker 1:Don't forget to vote if you're in Canada. Starting Monday, election here for our prime minister and, well, and MPs in your in your area. Don't forget to get out and vote, and go read a book. Have a good weekend. Bye.
